
Job description
Assemblers perform a variety of tasks at Wabash, including installing subassemblies, assembling component parts, and operating heavy machinery. They work in an environment where safety, environmental, and health concerns are constant attention. Assemblers are responsible for owning and improving performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
The main day-to-day responsibilities of an Assembler include measuring, cutting, and caulking materials, installing rivets, operating heavy machinery, and following decal templates and blueprints. Assemblers also perform additional work assigned by the supervisor or coordinator.
To be a successful Assembler, you should be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, have basic reading, writing, and verbal skills, and be able to wear approved personal protective equipment. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions, and experience and education are a plus but not required.
