Power Engineer

Role Overview

The Power Engineer will work in a 12-hour rotating shift pattern structure, contributing to a healthy work environment and maintaining high food safety standards. The role involves maintaining and monitoring steam generating requirements, refrigeration equipment, and participating in plant equipment repairs/installations.

What You Will Do

The Power Engineer will carry out oral and printed work requests, apply corrective measures, and maintain productivity that meets/exceeds standards. They will also contribute to the team and the whole facility in a positive way.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer certificate, a Refrigeration Operator Class B License or higher, and experience working with ammonia cooling and compressed air systems. They will be self-directed, motivated, and able to work shifts on 24 hours/ 7-day week.

• 3rd Class Stationary Engineer certificate
• Refrigeration Operator Class B License or higher
• Experience working with ammonia cooling and compressed air systems
• Experience working with boilers and steam
• Ability to work shifts on 24 hours/ 7-day week
• Self-directed / motivated team player
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, Supervisors and lead hands
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to do heavy lifting regularly (up to 50 lbs)
• Knowledge of Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) standards
